Highlights from our History tells the story of CityBridge’s evolution from a family foundation to a nonprofit organization. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we depend on the generosity of many donors. CityBridge Education operates separately from CityBridge Foundation, which continues to fund a variety of charitable endeavors nationwide.
CityBridge works with educators and leaders from DCPS and DC’s charter sector. We also support entrepreneurs creating non-school entities that will move the needle for DC students.
We support anyone working with students in public education in the District. We know folks may live and work outside of DC proper, but your project must focus on students in DC.
No, all CityBridge programming is provided free of charge to all participants.
CityBridge’s programs are not linear; they are designed to meet educators and entrepreneurs at different points in their design journey. At the end of each program, participants outline next steps and CityBridge staff are available to discuss additional programming opportunities.
No, CityBridge is a nonprofit incubator and does not take an equity stake.
We’re available to discuss any questions you may have about our programming. Please schedule a call with Millissa Hare, Associate Director, Recruitment and Cultivation, or fill out our contact form.
